## Press

The sound of Jorma Hynninen's voice, sepulchral and cavernous in its resonant acoustic, is a momentary shock to the system. But the power of his interpretation soon grips as the voice moves forward with alacrity and with often startling moments of perception.

Hilary Finch, The Times, February 1990

Hynninen is content to smolder like a volcano that's not going to erupt. (...) Frühlingstraum is almost tearful, while Der Leiermann barely rises above a defeated whisper. Gothóni is a superb, imaginative accompanist.

Ralph V. Lucano, Fanfare Magazine, September/October 1989
