## About this recording

Tuomas Ollila and the Tampere Philharmonic effectively broaden our picture of (Klami). The Ondine engineers produce sound of exemplary clarity and naturalness.

Penguin Guide to CDs, 1997/98 Edition

The Second Symphony is no doubt the most ambitious and imposing purely orchestral score of Klami's later years, and it is a pleasure to welcome this premiere recording by the polished Tampere Philharmonic under its fine conductor Tuomas Ollila. This release fills an important gap in the recorded repertoire of the Scandinavian symphony.
