Flutist Camilla Hoitenga brings her eclectic repertoire and charismatic performances with her wherever she goes, to Berlin or New York, the Kremlin in Moscow or the Forbidden City in Beijing. Whether accompanied by orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony or the London Philharmonic, or playing alone on stage, Camilla captivates her audiences by her intense performances, acclaimed by the press as "brilliant", "alluring" and "ideally transparent and precise".
Florent Jodelet (b. 1962) studied percussion with Michel Cals and thereafter with Jacques Delecluse at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris where he took Premier Prix in 1983. In the following year, Jodelet studied under the direction of Jean-Pierre Drouet. He attended the acoustics course led by Iannis Xenakis at the Paris University and studied electro-acoustic composition with M. Zbar. In 1984 he launched himself on a professional career, playing in the major Paris orchestras. Since 1988 he has been a soloist with the Orchestre National de France.
The Finnish cellist Anssi Karttunen is one of the most renowned and versatile musicians in the classical music world today and enjoys a busy career as a soloist and chamber music player. He performs on modern cello, classical and baroque cellos and on violoncello piccolo. Anssi Karttunen performs all the standard cello works, but has also discovered many forgotten masterpieces and arranged a number of pieces for cello. He is a passionate advocate of contemporary music and his collaboration with composers has led him to give over 50 world premieres of works by composers such as Magnus Lindberg, Kaija Saariaho (including Notes on Light in 2007, which he recorded; ODE 1130-2), Rolf Wallin, Luca Francesconi and Tan Dun.
